This website is for a medieval fencing club. It's used to announce coming events, and to provide information about the club to new and prospective members. I built this site because this club didn't have one! Almost fifteen years ago I was involved in medieval fencing, and recently I thought I'd take it up again. I googled and found dead websites belonging to dead clubs. I had to google a contact from my old club and ask him if there were any clubs in Palmy! Building this site was done in lieu of joining fees and will make it easier for other people to find and join the club.

Things I've learnt from building this site

• How to use views to create dynamic pages such as the home page. On this page is a list of coming events. Once the event has passed it is moved to an archive page. Any photos that are uploaded can be tagged with the event name and they'll be displayed in the archive along with the original post, as well as in the 'normal' gallery.
